North Wall - Block No. 68


Stone: red quartzite (origin - from the "Red Mountains" of Djebel Akhmar, an area near Heliopolis)

Coronation scene, the block shows two scenes, on the left Amun-Ra, the King of Gods, is shown sitting in the  pr-wr and crowning Hatshepsut who is kneeling in front of him. Outside of the  pr-wr the goddess Weret-Hekaw is depicted holding an Ankh to the nose of the queen.
The right scene which is continued on Block 176 shows a Iun-mutef-priest, who is the "Cleaner of the pr-wr,  presenting offers of Amun given to the queen to the souls of Pé an Nekhen.
