Vestibule, North Side - Block-No. 072


Stone: red quartzite (origin - from the "Red Mountains" of Djebel Akhmar, an area near Heliopolis)


Foundation ritual - Hatshepsut, wearing an Atef-crown, is shown forming mud-bricks. The scene is titled "Forming of a brick, 4x, so that she makes the Dj-anx". On left behind the her Ka is depicted.
In the upper right corner of the block the goddess Nekhbet is depicted as a vulture sitting on a papyrus. The corresponding inscription reads "[The queen,] beloved by Nekhbet, who gives her life and happiness."
