Vestibule, North Side - Block-No. 149


Stone: red quartzite (origin - from the "Red Mountains" of Djebel Akhmar, an area near Heliopolis)


On the right half of the block Hatshepsut, wearing a wig with an uraeus, is standing before  Amun-Ra, Lord of Heaven. The text accompanying Amun reads: "Words to say: I give you all life, all happiness, all health, all joy, like Ra."
In the left half Hathor, Lady of Thebes, and behind her, far left, Thot, Lord of Hermopolis, are depicted.
The text accompanying Hathor reads: "Words to say by Hathor: Maat-Ka-Ra, by love, I give you an infinite number of years."
The text before Thot reads: "Word to say by Thot: "Daughter of Ra, Hatshepsut, I have  testified [written] your position as King of Upper and Lower Egypt on the leaves of the holy Persea-tree. I give you life, like Ra."
