This block and the adjacent block 147 must be
interpreted together.
The block shows 4 scenes, parts of the two scenes on the right right are lost.
According to Grimm (1988) the sequence of the scenes is as follows:
- top left a priest with the title "jt-nTr = God's Father"
hands over a torch to a
"Hmt-nTrDrt-nTr = God's Wife and God's Hand", the action is
described as "Szpbsdj(t)nHmt-nTr =
Taking the torch and hand it over to the God's Wife".
- top right the "God's Wife and God's Hand" turns to the right and set
fire to a burnt offering so that ritual of "Destruction of the foes" is started.
The accompanying inscription reads: "[jrjt] axnxftj
= [Performing] the burnt offering with the enemy".
- down left the priest with the title "jt-nTr =
God's Father" hands over a fan with the picture of a bound enemy to the "Hmt-nTrDrt-nTr = God's Wife and God's Hand". The accompanying inscription reads: " Szpmaodj(t)nHmt-nTr = Taking of the spit [and] hand
it over to the God's Wife"
- down right the "Hmt-nTrDrt-nTr = God's Wife and God's Hand"
is shown burning the fan with the picture of the bound enemy so that the
ritual of "Destruction of the foes" is executed. An accompanying text is missing.
