Santuary, North Wall - Block-No. 147

Stone: red quartzite (origin - from the "Red Mountains" of Djebel Akhmar, an area near Heliopolis)

This block and the adjacent block 37 must be interpretet together.

Thot leads a prophets (below) and a "Godīs Wife and God's Hand" (upper row) with her servants into the "forecourt of the temple".

Grimm (1988) has reconstructed the inscriptions as follows:
Vertical inscription outer left - "prj(t) HA wsxt jrjt ax m [xftj] Hrj-jb wsxt - Set off to the forecourt of the temple. Performing of a burnt offering with an [enemy] in the middle of the forecourt."
Vertical inscription 2nd from left - "aHa HA.f r djt xt m ax - Take one's stand behind the (offering stand) to light the burnt offering".
