Red Chapel

last update: 24.03.2008

North Wall - Block Not identified Row 4, left2

Stone: red quartzite (origin - from the "Red Mountains" of Djebel Akhmar, an area near Heliopolis)

Only minor parts of the block have survived - discernable is on the right the lower part of a figure and behind that the beginning of the presentation of a royal Ka. The two Ka-signs, which are still to be seen, clearly show that royal Ka of Hatshepsut whose Horus-name has been "Powerful of Kas (wsr.t-kAw)" was depicted here. Thus, the preceding figure must have been that of Hatshepsut.
